GE HealthCare Hires Bill Grogan as Finance Chief

GE HealthCare announced that it’s hired William (Bill) Grogan as its new chief financial officer (CFO). Grogan will take office on September 14.

He follows Jay Saccaro, who revealed last month that he would be leaving the company to pursue a role outside of the medical technology sector. Interim CFO George Newcomb will continue in his positions as controller and chief accounting officer.

Grogan joins GE HealthCare from global water solutions partner Xylem Inc., where he has served as executive VP and CFO since 2023. During his tenure, he helped expand margins, streamline operations, integrate a $7.5 billion acquisition, optimize the portfolio, and strengthen capital deployment.

Prior to Xylem, Grogan spent over a decade at IDEX Corp., serving as senior VP and CFO from 2017 to 2023. He previously held finance leadership roles at Walgreens, Crane Co., and Sears Holdings Corp., and serves on the board and audit committee of Crane NXT and on the advisory council for the Girard School of Business at Merrimack College.
